Chairman introduced Graham who provided an excellent talk supported with a Power Point presentation covering SmartWater.
SmartWater was founded in 1995 - they specialise in forensic coding systems- are based at Offices & Laboratories at Telford and Meryside.
SmartWater security systems are forensic DNA coding systems which can be applied in several ways.
SmartWater Forensic Property Coding This system is designed for the protection of general domestic items & commercial assets e.g. Audio/Visual equipment and Hobby items such as Golf Clubs Etc. Its unique forensic fingerprint is almost invisible to the naked eye, fluoresces under ultraviolet light, and is virtually impossible to completely remove and can subsequently sent to SmartWaters forensic laboratory for free analysis. It is also suitable for use in Schools, hospitals and other organizations. This product can be safely applied to anything from a JCB to jewellery and other sentimental items. Warning signage and labels are included with each system, which are used to deter would-be criminals.
SmartWater Index Spray SystemA product unique to SmartWater, is used to complement the property coding systems as part of the overall SmartWater strategy, to target and convict the ‘most active' criminals.
Smartwater Index is used to spray intruders or even robbers with an invisible liquid which marks the skin and clothing of the criminal. The product remains on the skin for several weeks and for extended periods on clothing. This allows criminals to be caught and convicted long after the crime has taken place.
There are other types of SmartWater systems available, please log on to their Web Site for more comprehensive details :- http://www.smartwater.com/
Should any member be interested in purchasing a SmartWater Property Coding or Index Spray System, please contact the Chairman - Graham Sutton
