MINUTES OF A PUBLIC MEETING HELD AT KIDSGROVE CRICKET CLUB ON MONDAY 13th JUNE 2005.
MINUTES of a Public Meeting of residents of Clough Hall Road, Kinnersley Avenue, Cumberland Close, Laburnum Close, Hollinwood Road, Park Avenue, Westmorland Avenue, Beech Drive, Sycamore Close, Hollinwood Close and Springfield Drive, held on Monday 13th June 2005 at 7.30 pm at Kidsgrove Cricket Club. Sixty two residents were present together with representatives from the Local Policing Unit, Aspire Housing, Secretary of Talke Pits Residents' Association, Councillors Silvia Burgess and Mary Maxfield.
WELCOME
Mr Graham Sutton welcomed residents and guests and outlined the purpose of the meeting which was to ascertain if residents wanted to form a Residents' Association.
DISCUSSION ON MERITS OF RESIDENTS' ASSOCIATIONS.
The advantages of setting up a Residents' Association were presented and a debate ensued.
It was unanimously agreed that an Association be formed and be known as CLOUGH HALL RESIDENTS' ASSOCIATION.
CONSTITUTION
A draft Constitution was presented to the meeting and was unanimously adopted by those present.
APPOINTMENT OF COMMITTEE
It was resolved that Graham Sutton, Michael Moore, Kath Viles, Correna Gallacher , Suzanne Hamilton Stanier, Brian Collis, and John Gallacher be appointed as the Committee .
APPOINMENT OF OFFICERS
It was resolved that the following persons be appointed Officers for the ensuing year.
Chairman - Graham Sutton
Vice Chairman - Michael Moore
Secretary - Kath Viles
Treasurer - Correna Gallacher
